Hire a Remote
3D & Video Editor

An agency-trained motion producer who delivers paid social cutdowns, brand films, product visualizations, and the multi-format edit work your agency ships every week, so motion stops being your bottleneck.

Role Scope

What this operator does and doesn't do

Clear boundaries keep operators effective and protect your agency from scope creep.

Responsibilities

  • Edit paid social cutdowns from hero video into 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9 variants
  • Produce motion graphics for ads (After Effects) and brand films (Premiere or DaVinci Resolve)
  • Build product visualizations and 3D renders in Blender or Cinema 4D
  • Adapt motion content across platforms with correct codec, aspect ratio, and spec discipline
  • Apply color grading and primary correction; basic sound balancing across edits
  • Source and integrate stock footage (Artgrid, Storyblocks) when shoots don't cover gaps
  • Deliver against tight client review cycles with revision tracking and version control

Not responsible for

  • Originating creative direction or commercial concepts from a blank page
  • Character animation, rigging, or frame-by-frame animation specialty work
  • Full sound design from scratch or music composition
  • Live-action production, directing shoots, or on-set work

Is this the right fit?

This role is perfect for

01

Agencies producing video and motion regularly that bottleneck on editor capacity

If your team has work to ship and the only thing slowing it down is who's actually editing, this role unblocks that constraint without committing to a full creative hire.

02

Agencies whose clients need ongoing motion content for paid social and channels

When clients want weekly cutdowns, monthly brand films, or quarterly product launches, you need an embedded operator, not a freelancer juggling four other accounts.

03

Agencies that need both 3D and video edit work without hiring two specialists

When the work spans product visualizations and social cutdowns, a single operator with depth in both saves you from staffing for two roles you don't have full-time work for.

FAQs

FAQs on hiring an 3D & Video Editor

How fast can I get started?

Most operators are matched and introduced within days of scoping. From there, your operator learns your tools and gets to work, most clients see meaningful production in the first two weeks.

What if the operator isn't the right fit?

We replace them. Within 30 days of your request, we place a new operator into the role, and in most cases, within two weeks. Your first replacement is free; after that, a $500 re-onboarding fee applies.

Do I need to onboard them?

Operators start agency-trained. You'll provide context on your systems and SOPs, Beam handles the contractor relationship, training, and ongoing support.

Can one operator handle both motion graphics and 3D work?

Yes, that's how this role is scoped. Beam operators in this role have depth in After Effects plus either Blender or Cinema 4D, with working knowledge across video editing (Premiere or DaVinci Resolve). If your work skews heavily toward one specialty, for example, character animation or pure VFX, ask in Discovery and we'll match accordingly.
